I ordered my dream wedding dress from a different store that ordered my dress two sizes too small and then ruined it with an extremely poor tailoring job. Three months before my wedding, my mom reached out to Georgette for advice and Georgette became my absolute angel! She went above and beyond to help me navigate the difficult situation with my credit card after the original store refused to refund my money.

Given Georgette’s experiences and expertise with the Elysee/Enzoani dress designer, she was able to expedite an order for my original dream dress in the correct size, began alterations within a week, and then worked with my busy schedule over subsequent appointments to make sure the dress fit perfectly in all the right places. They even tailored my veil so it matched perfectly with my dress. Everything was pressed and beautiful for the day of my wedding.  Their tailor Marie is professional, patient, and very meticulous. Their work is such high quality, all-inclusive, and well worth the price! My dress fit perfectly, and I felt so beautiful and so comfortable! Without the Papers and Petals bridal team, I would not have been able to wear my dream wedding dress and feel as beautiful as I did. Less than a week from my wedding date Georgette and her team was able to pull off incredible alterations that Janene’s Bridal couldn’t even do to what they claimed was the fabric of the wedding dress.   Overall: If you're looking for a fun, knowledgeable, and transparent bridal boutique wedding dress shop, then look no further.  Georgette and her squad are absolutely incredible!

Wedding Dress Shopping Experience: I consider myself a laid back bride. So laid back that i did no research before coming in. This was my first shop and had 2 other appointments planned with my tribe.  I honestly actually don't really like wearing dresses because of previous incidences of leg chaffage (the thick thigh life struggle is so real.) I'm unapologetically short and curvy without fear of accentuating all the right curves and much fear of highlighting all the wrong curves.  I walked in with an open mind and they helped me navigate through the process to find the perfect dress.  I tried a simple A-line, but didn't feel bridal. Then tried on my fit and flare and I was in love! Then i began to dance in it with the encouragement of my sisters and mom and fell absolutely in love with it! We had a great time playing music getting our dance on with my wedding dress. Yes, I bursted into tears from happiness surrounded by my loved ones in that dress. Yup, it was definitely the one!

Alterations Process: This process was seamless. I spent 2 hours standing in my shoes (Tip: Wear comfortable shoes ladies!) While the seamstress navigated her way all around my dress for the perfect fit and bustle.  I've seriously never owned anything that fit me like a glove. Then I went back for my final fitting and it was perfect.

Note: Will be getting married on 8/10/19 so I'll post my wedding dress afterward

  The angels at Papers & Petals quite literally SAVED my wedding day. When my original wedding gown arrived absolutely ruined and unwearable the night before my wedding (yes, you read that right), it seemed my worst nightmare had come true. Thankfully, Georgette responded to my family's late-night cry for help via email and opened the shop early on the morning of my wedding just so I could find a new gown and veil. She was so patient and listened to exactly what I was looking for, suggesting only dresses that were within my budget and tastes. She ended up recommending a gown that honestly surprised me. I never would have looked at it twice on the hanger, but when I put it on, I never wanted to take it off (I still wish I could wear it all the time). Not only that, but her incredible team managed to get it altered and add a bustle all within just hours to ensure that I was ready for the ceremony that afternoon. Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life; when I was panicking  without a wedding gown the night before, I was afraid it would turn into one of the worst. But now, I can look back on that beautiful day and remember the kindness and compassion that I received in a time of urgent need, and it makes it all the more special.   Papers & Petals was actually not on my go to list for wedding dress shopping, but since I was around the area, I decided to check it out. 

Georgette, you are my fairy godmother!! thank you so much for choosing such a beautiful dress that i would have never chose for myself. I came in with an open mind not knowing exactly what I wanted, but Georgette asked me a few questions and had a vision after i answered her. 

At first, i was a bit hesitant because the dress she chose was something i would have never chose to try on. But i tried it on anyway...thinking it would be just for fun! And let me tell you, i was in love!! My dress was perfect for me. I was in denial because it was the first dress i tried on, but every other dress i tried was not up to par. It was a one and done deal for me and i couldn't believe it. 

Georgette worked her magic and got my dress ready in such short notice 🙂

  My experience with Georgette was very positive. I felt that she was very knowledgeable and gave great feedback. Out of all the boutiques I had gone to, she took the most time to show me different style of dresses as a mother of the bride. I couldn't be happier with the dress that I picked in with the alterations that were done. The appointments were always reliable and Georgia was very flexible with getting me in when I wanted to come. The only thing I would add is that you have to go to a place like this and expect to spend A LOT of money.
If you are on a budget this place may not be suitable. However, you get what you pay for. Alterations were expensive. Overall, very happy with my experience!!!
